Gold on 1-hour candles, with the stop below the last confirmed swing low instead of a fixed ATR distance, and only when gold's daily trend is up. Gold on 15-minute candles lost money, so the slower chart and the trend filter are what make it work.
Far fewer but better trades: 450 trades (about 4 a month), 54% wins, +135.1R 2018-today with a 7.8R largest drawdown, about +0.30R per trade vs +0.13R for the NAS100 version. 8 of 9 years positive (2021 −2.7R).
